Om el Donya

I wrote this ‘poem’ for Egypt (Om el Donya, Mother of the World). It came more as a guided visualization or intention than a ‘poem’. I saw myself (and other women who wish to participate) creating a sacred space for rebirth, holding this powerful energy of creation and emerging for Egypt deep within my womb. These are the words that came:

Om el Donya

The cycle continues beyond space and time,

throughout all eternity.

Death and Re-birth.

Just as you (re)birthed me and allowed me to emerge fully realized,

I hold the space, not only in my heart but deep within my womb, for you to gestate.

I do not know what, or who, you will be,

but I love you unconditionally, unwaveringly, eternally.

I sit in anticipation.

I feel you move, and kick, and know, that you are alive,

forming and reforming, until that day when you must undergo the most powerful of transitions,

to die from one world into another so that you may live and breathe for all to see.
