On October 10^th we had the 10-10 alignment. Next year at this time we will have the 10-10-10 alignment at very powerful time. Ten is the number of completion. It is also the ‘God’ number. We take 1 which is unity and the one before the two (polarity). Adding a 0 to make 10 takes us to a higher vibration. So if we were to think of 1 as the individual then 10 would be a higher vibration of that, or our Divine self.

This alignment occurs in the sign of Libra. Since the autumnal equinox we have been talking a lot about the movement of Saturn. For the last 2 years Saturn has been in the sign of Virgo. At the end of October it will leave Virgo and move into Libra. Saturn is our greatest teacher. He illuminates our life lessons, or karmic lessons usually not in an easy way.

In Virgo he illuminated our health and healing issues. Someone even suggested that Michael Jackson (a Virgo) was the sacred cow sacrificed to illuminate the completely dysfunctional heath care system by his very public death. Whether it is Michael Jackson or someone you know personally health issues have been increasing in magnitude over the last 2 years. Illness is one of our greatest teachers. It arrives at a point when have ignored an issue on a subtle level and we need a slap in the face to wake up and see with clarity.

Those of us who are Virgos have the added ‘pleasure’ of having Saturn conjunct our sun at some point during those 2 years. Have you ever had someone pin you to the ground and not allow you to move? Well it feels a lot like that, metaphorically of course. On the positive side it is a time for manifesting and birthing. And that feeling of being pinned down could translate into nesting…for some.

Now back to Libra. On the 30^th of October Saturn moves into Libra for a 2 year stay. Heavy times for Libras or times of manifestation as Saturn conjuncts your sun. Those of us who are not Libras will still feel the effects of Saturn. When it was in Virgo we all felt it in the area of health and healing when it moves to Libra the areas we will have our lessons in will be balance, relationships and justice.

Which brings me back to 10-10. This activation and the things that happen during this time give us a preview to the work that we need to do in the next 2 years. As I mentioned ten is about the Divine, a higher vibration of ourselves or our Divinity. One of our great tests, the work we will be doing in the next 2 years, is to claim and integrate the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine. It is only at this point, when they are integrated, that we will truly have justice and balance.

The topic of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine is a huge topic. Which I believe deserves its own entry so I will just mention it here and give you time to ponder it, to see it and feel it within your self.

This month’s full moon is known as the harvest moon. It is the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox. Because it happens so closer to sunset it provided more light for farmers to harvest their crops, helping them at this time.

It is also known as the Youthing Moon. Many ancient and tribal cultures do ceremonies on this full moon to turn back the clock both physically and metaphorically.

During this time of the month when the sun is in Libra the full moon occurs in the sign of Aries. The full moon is a reflection of the sun, so it is always s in the sign apposing the sun sign.

Aries being the first sign of the zodiac is often thought of as the child of the zodiac. Our intention for this full moon was to use the power of illumination to reconnect ourselves with that inner child.

Aries is also represented by the King of Wands in the Tarot deck. The King of Wands is a mastery card and asks us to look back at the essence of what we are, the seeds that were planted when we were born.

The illumination that we hope to receive is to reconnect with our sacred fire, our internal flame, the passion that fires us towards our destiny. In our visualization we are looking to illuminate the sacred fire to reconnect with it, to our essence. For many of us we don’t know what our essence is. Perhaps we have not yet connected to that part of ourselves, to our purpose. We can use this full moon to illuminate that part of ourselves.

Coming out of the summer, and all it eclipses, we move into a time of harvest. It is a time to look at what we have sown and tended since the spring. To see what has grown over the summer. Given all the eclipses (three rather than the usual two in a row), most of us have learned a lot. Now is the time to stop and process that. See how we have grown. One of our greatest oversights is not to see where we have been. We need to stop and look at where we started and where we are now, to see our progress.

One of our greatest spiritual tools is to write our history. It gives us perspective, lets us follow our own footsteps. Journaling is a great tool. It gives us perspective in the present. It shows us the point between the experience the ‘experience-er’, the observer. But it is also good to look back after we have had the experience, processed it, and understood the wisdom; to we see what has happened to us. It is usually at this point where we can see our experiences, especially if they were challenging, as gifts. So use the time of the harvest to harvest your own wisdom. Reap what you have sown and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

All of this takes us back to where we started. This process of recounting will give you more information about your path. Look at what unfolded, which doors opened and which doors closed. When were you ‘beating your head against the wall’, which is usually an ego driven desire rather than your destiny. Because in truth, and we all know it, when we are on path everything is smooth, you can feel it, there is a kind of peace. It may be challenging but still smooth with out resistance (unless it is coming from our own mind).

 Each month we come to a point where the day and month aligned, creating more intense energy for that particular number vibration. Some alignments are more significant than other because they have an added astronomical component such as 08/08, the Lionsgate, when the earth comes in alignment with the star Sirius as well.

 Since the year 2001 we have an added alignment. One month out of the year also resonates with the year of the millennium (January in 2001, 01-01-01, etc.). This year, 2009, it happened in September the 09 month, adding extra value to the 09 alignment.

Nine is the number of completion. Finishing things up before 10 which is a new beginning by taking us back to 1 (10 reduces to 1). But notice that 10 is also a higher vibration of 1. Like in mathematics, each time we add a 0 we increase the magnitude.

We held a gathering at The Centre on 09-09-09 to celebrate this alignment. We used the Al-chemia Remedies, Orange Honeysuckle and White Indian Jasmine which hold the energy of the 9 vibration. The Remedies work as catalysts aiding us to do the work on the energetic level. They help us push through and magnify our intention. These two remedies in particular are about cutting out the dead wood, letting go of that which does not serve us well (Orange Honeysuckle) and releasing the ego and opening to the Divine (White Indian Jasmine).

What really became apparent to me this time was that it is 09 which take us to 10. Zero is Nun in ancient Egyptian mythology, the undifferentiated, potential, the primordial waters which everything is birthed out of. So 09 is nine empting back into zero.

I saw this in a vision I had after a Dance. This was the image we focused on in our visualization during the ceremony. We move to a higher vibration (10) by completing (9) and feeding it back to the primordial waters (0). All the energy we are ‘finished with’ can be fed back to Nun and transmuted, freeing the energy up to be used again at a higher level.

The image I saw was a 9 suspended in the air over a 0 laying flat like a pool of water. I could see a point, like a drop, moving from the center of the 9, looping around clockwise then running down the stem of the 9 and dripping into the 0, back into the black abyss of the Nun. It was a beautiful image. Every issue that I was finished with I would see move from the center of the 9 around the circle down the stem and release back into the pool. One by one I could let go of issues with this process. Until finally I was finished, no more drops appeared.

This visualization was very freeing. I didn’t even need to know what the issues were. I could just release them and feel lighter. This visualization had a profound effect on me. I think it could be used at other times as well, at other times when we are resonating with the 09.

After this I could see the 9 moving towards the 0 and connecting with the 0 to create the infinity (∞) symbol. This time it looked more like light or energy moving from the center of the 9 circling around then down the stem where it would connect with the 0 circle around the 0 counter clockwise connecting back to the loop of the 9 creating ∞. This image could have gone on forever round and round. I watched it until I had a sense of completion.

During the visualization we used this image, seeing it in front of us and then moving the image three times for each of the 09’s. The first time we transfigured the 09 into ∞ and then moved it into the third eye, the second one we moved into one of our palm chakras, the third into the other palm chakra. Then we sat for a while enjoying the infinite energy. When we felt fully energized we moved our hands over the heart chakra connecting that with the infinite energy. Thus ending the ceremony.

This process was an activation, it was only a beginning. The real shift unfolds in time. I would love to hear people’s experiences of what happened after the activation.

This month the full moon occurs in the sign of Capricorn. As well as being a full moon there will be a lunar eclipse. This is only a partial eclipse and will probably be difficult to see. But it is an eclipse none the less.

The feeling is heavy. I hope we can use the power of Capricorn to manifest something, but how it feels to me right now if very heavy. Due to my own heaviness I have little to say. Again the key is always to go into the feeling and see where it takes you, what you can learn.

We still have that conjunction is Aquarius helping us. Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron are still combusted (on top of each other, with less that one degree!). My intuition is telling me to leave this alone. To experience it, feel the heaviness, sit with it and write about it later. I will follow that inspiration and come back to this later. I hope some of you will share your experiences as well. More later…

This month the new moon appears in the sign of Cancer, the crab. Cancer is a water sign and ruled by the moon it’s self so this is a very powerful lunar aspect. The easiest way to understand Cancer is through the analogy of the crab. Cancer is soft on the inside having an exoskeleton to protect and contain it. As you can imagine this would be a good time to go deep inside.

Cancer is related to the home and mother. We can almost get the feeling of a womb although the womb doesn’t quite have a protective shell like the crab.

Although new moons are times of new beginnings, time to set an intention the feeling of this one is very vulnerable almost as though we have no shell, no protection. Interestingly enough during this new moon I havereturned to my family, synchronicity, only for a short time but still at this auspicious moment.

My feeling is not one of being protected; in fact it is more a feeling of being victimized, not by my family but by those around me. This isa feeling that seems to be echoed by others I talk to as well. I hope this is not setting the tone for the rest of the month! Perhaps it is just letting us experience our vulnerable place.

Looking at the rest of the chart for the day, there are someamazing things going on at this time. Not only are the sun and moon combusted (directly on top of each other by degrees) but Mars and Venus are also combusted! As well as Jupiter and Uranus! With all those planets helping each other we should be doing really well. Hopefully we will once we get over our vulnerability. Which I hope happens soon.

I can honestly say I appreciate being an earth sign when I amaround Cancerians, wow, heavy. You water signs bear a heavy burden. I guess fora day we can all take a walk in your shoes. Enjoy the water, go into the depthsof yourself, and see what you find.

The swine flu has finally reached Egypt. At the same time it has also elevated in status to a pandemic. I hadn’t been paying much attention, probably because it wasn’t here and I make it a point not to delve into things that are not in my ‘immediate’ world. Partially because I do not trust the media to give us accurate information so I try to deal with what is real or experienced.

When it was discovered here in Egypt everyone panic. The AUC dorms were closed and quarantined. The university closed. Each day more and more cases, mainly in the dorms. Which makes sense since everyone was locked in there together! Then the pandemic announcement came with rumors of airports closing, passengers being quarantined on arrival, restaurants closing…I think pandemic should just be called ‘panic’.

Perhaps that is it’s only function, to keep us in fear, because when you go and examine the actual information that is available on ‘swine flu’ aka H1N1 it is classified as a ‘moderate’ flu, like a seasonal flu. We need to keep in perspective that this is not Ebola or Meningitis, it is a flu. People are dying, but people die from the flu every year. Up to 36,000 just in the US die from the seasonal flu every year.

When the flu changed status and became a pandemic people assumed that the virus had become more severe. But that is not what the status change meant. It merely meant that it had crossed significant geographic borders. It had more to do with the distance it had spread not that it was more dangerous. In order to realize what is really happening one has to look closely and most people are too afraid to do that.

The big news is that pharmaceutical companies are being paid billions of dollars to find a vaccine. Seems someone is benefiting, which alone is sad. Especially since this is not an especially dangerous disease. It is a very contagious disease. (For more information on symptoms and management of the disease go to www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/qa.htm).

Barbara Hand Clow predicted that healing would replace money as the new ‘currency’. I guess we are beginning to understand how that might be true. If a person does not have their health then everything else is really worthless. This pandemic falling right on the heels of the financial crash seems serendipitous. We are first shown the illusion that we have been living in and then we are given a wake up call about what is really real. Our bodies! Not only do we need a sustainable economy we need a sustainable life style one that promotes good health.

Vaccines and medications are just like loans from banks, the pharmaceutical companies being the new ‘banks’. This gives us a false sense of wellbeing. All we are doing is postponing the inevitable, we are not fixing anything. We are taking credit against our health.

We need to move to a more curative mentality. I wrote in an earlier post about ‘cancer’ mentality and how it is a need for constant growth. Constant growth is cancer. When I mentioned it I was talking about the economy. I was suggesting that we need to shift our thinking from growth economy to sustainable economy in order not to devour ourselves.

Perhaps this shift needs to include how we think about life and health, to work to create a sustainable life style on all levels of existence. And just as we need to stop giving away our economic power to institutions and financial ‘experts’ we need to take back control of our health, to take that out of the hands of institutions and experts as well.

This month the full moon was in the sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is about clarity of vision and expansion. This is coming at a very interesting time because most people are reporting an absolute absence of vision!

Personally I seem to have lost my vision, which for me is very unusual. When seeking guidance about this situation the answer I got was ‘you are not meant to know right now’. That feels true. Either I wouldn’t understand or wouldn’t be able to accept what is coming, so the veil is down and I accept that this is how it needs to be right now.

It is forcing us to live in the now, to a whole new level. I’m sure there is a reason, it just feels very unusual. It also made me realize that I was living in my vision. It was my driving force. I live day by day, navigating in the moment but I always had a guiding star. It was far off in the distance but it was what I moved towards.

Now something has changed. This is a statement that I hear echoed by others. Listening to others I can hear aspects of the situation that I don’t hear in myself. My conclusion is that we no longer ‘see’ the future but we ‘feel’ it. All of us that seem to have lost out vision still feel optimistic about where we are going. We still feel that something good is coming; we just have no idea of what that looks like.

This could be for many reasons. One is that things are evolving so quickly that we have no basis for understanding what we might see. Our vision might make no sense to us. Every thing in life vibrates. It may be vibrating in its truth, in its essence. We can feel that vibration but we can’t translate it into anything that we can understand.

For me this is very curious. Where might we be going? It feels good. I don’t feel fearful or down about the future, just unclear. Wow! What an interesting place to be standing. A real adventure!

Things are becoming so dynamic. Moment by moment things shift and change until finally they unfold in a most perfect expression. The less we hold on the more dynamic it becomes and the more easily it is expressed. Because ‘time’ is accelerating this is all happening very quickly. Holding on would only cause lag and resistance.

So perhaps expanding our vision means expanding our concept of vision to allow room for new types of vision. Allowing ourselves to move into the subtler less defined realms. To hear the distant drum and move towards it, blind folded, in faith.

This month we will experience the new moon in the sign of Gemini. The new moon is a time of new beginnings. Gemini is related to communication and the mind. The interesting aspect that we face this year is that at the time of the new moon, Mercury, the planet of communication and Gemini’s ruler, is retrograde.

This sets up an interesting dynamic of new beginnings and going back. Perhaps it is telling us that our new beginning comes from processing and looking at the old, fixing or resolving. The mind does have a function beyond torturing our selves, and that is to process. I believe the original human design was for man to experience, feel and then use the mind to process and gain greater understanding of our experiences. I don’t think it was originally meant to take over and cloud and twist our perception of everything.

Now given these seemingly opposing aspects we can use them in an interesting way. The time is right to reevaluate how we use our minds and put it into action. We have many other aspects helping us in this undertaking.

The Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius is still there and will be there for some time. Aquarius takes us to a higher level. We can use that energy, of all those planets, to rise above our lower mind.

We have just passed through the mid-point of the 6^th Day (see previous entry). The mid-point gave us the clarity, the perspective to see where we had been. Now the energy of the new moon gives us the push to make the change, aided by our friends Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune in the sign of Aquarius.

This conjunction of the three planets in Aquarius has been aiding us for some time. Now is the moment to see the effects. In my experience this is happening all around me. I have become conscious of, and reaping the rewards of, this shift. I also hear the same from the people around me. People are beginning to feel the flow. Things are moving quickly and we find ourselves able to navigate with easy now. The more we surrender to the moment the easier it becomes. We seem to have reached that critical mass that has caused the shift. All of which was predicted by the mid-point of the 6^th Day.

We are truly blessed to be living in this amazing time. A time when we are witnesses our own evolution, the evolution of consciousness. We can consciously experience co-creation as the Divine moves through us to manifestation. We can feel the flow moving through us, picking up speed as we stop resisting.

I am reminded of the words from the Hopi people that say:

“There is a river flowing very fast

It is so swift there are those who will be afraid

They will try to hold onto the shore

They will feel they are being torn apart

And will suffer greatly

Know that the river has a destination

The elders say we must let go of the shore

Push off into the middle of the river

And I say see who is in there with you and celebrate

At this time in history we are to take nothing personally

Least of all ourselves

For the moment we do our spiritual growth comes to a halt

The time of the lone wolf is over

Gather yourselves together, as we are tonight

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner

And in celebration

We are the ones we are waiting for

Ahoy!”

May 11^th brings us to the mid-point of the 6^th Day in the Galactic underworld on the Mayan Calendar. The Mayan calendar is a very accurate map out lining the evolution of consciousness on earth. For those that know very little about it I recommend

The Rebirth Celebration is in honor of this auspicious moment. It will take place May 9^th-11^th as a global celebration. For more information on global activities scheduled for this time go to http://www.commonpassion.org.

Here in Cairo we had a gathering on the 10^th to honor this time. The celebration was to set an intention as well as to bring clarity about what has happened since the beginning of the 6^th Day. To clarify where we have been and where we might be going.

Being at the mid-point of this wonderful time of emerging gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect on what has happened up until now. Because things are moving and shifting so quickly it is often difficult to catch our breath and see where we are standing.

The Mayans believed in Cosmic order which they called the Divine Plan. The Tun calendar is record of this Divine Plan literally carved in stone. The point of the Rebirth Celebration is to realign ourselves to that Cosmic order, the Divine plan.

The event that will cause the shift in consciousness for this period of time came in the 5^th Night (November 19^th 2007-November 13^th 2008), as it always does, in each cycle. We were shown the illusion that we had been living. We saw how our existence had been based on scarcity mentality and the feeling of separation, all of this keeping us in fear, allowing us to be manipulated. Although many felt they lost a lot during this time what really happened was that the veil was lifted. This can be very shocking if we are really invested in the illusion.

Living in a state of constant growth is cancerous. When you fear that there will not be enough then you feel the need to always try to acquire more. Once the veil was lifted and people saw that they were standing on a house of cards or a house filled with useless junk that they had acquired, they then needed to ask them selves how they got to this point and how do they get out of it.

There is no going back once the veil has been lifted, we can only go forward. It may not be an easy journey but definitely illuminating, and it is time. Most people are not happy or satisfied. They feel empty. Well, the universe is conspiring to get us out of all of that. To force us to look at are lives, what we really have (and don’t have) and go from there.

The climb to the top of the 6^th Day was challenging but now we are at the top having a bird eye view. The question becomes, now that we can see clearly, what are we going to DO? The Mayans had the answer follow the flow. The Rebirth Celebration brings us the necessary energy to do that.
